Anonymous asked: I love watching horror movies. I love hearing horror stories too. Everything. Horrors and thrilling or suspense but every after of that i can't forget it and i keep on remembering it no matter what i do. It suddenly flashes back and i get so really damn scared as fuck and i can't sleep on weeks. I really can't explain it, that feeling makes me feel like i'm dying of fear. It freaks me out. I don't know if it's a phobia or what but i really think it's related. I really hope you can help me

I  think this rather has to do with the psychological proces of seeing things in your surroundings, and the proces of taking over the television world as real. Not sure if I can really find a phobia, because even though you get afraid of things, it also has to do with the fact that you recently saw a movie on it. You’re not afraid of monsters (or something like that) on a normal day, after your mind has been okay with the horror movies again. So I don’t know what this qualifies as, I would rather like to call it just a transferred fear of the television world.

You’re not rude. I get my information from other sites and books and they might be wrong, but I don’t know. I am not a phobia expert, and sure they could be wrong. But the thing with phobia names is that one name can have multiple explanations. So I don’t know.

So how do you survive when you have this? I mean, isn’t breathing sort of the same thing as swallowing air?

Correction:There isn’t really a fear of swallowing air but there is a fear of sudden gust of winds and drafts and that is called Anemophobia. Aerophobia, my dear, is the fear of flying or airplanes ( hence the name Aero.) :)

Ah okay. Thank you. My source was probably just wrong. Thanks for correcting.
